PRTBL is a hardware product development studio focused on compact consumer devices. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, we bring more than a decade of experience taking products from first sketch and prototype through tooling, validation builds, and mass production. Our team sits between U.S. brands and China-based factories, turning ideas into clear requirements and driving DFM, tooling, testing, and production until the product is ready for market.

We have helped launch millions of devices across regulated wellness, inhalation hardware, and small consumer electronics, with a deep focus on reliability, feel in hand, and manufacturability.

What we do
	•	Hardware Product Development: Concept exploration, industrial design, mechanical and electrical design, and prototyping for batteries, pods, cartridges, and handheld devices.
	• NPI and Manufacturing Support: DFM/DFX, tooling, pilot builds, reliability testing, certifications, and ongoing quality oversight with long-term partners in Shenzhen and Dongguan.
	• Brand and Packaging Support: Product positioning, visual direction, and packaging that fit how customers actually shop online and in retail.
	• Launch and Supply Chain: Vendor coordination, cost and margin planning, production scheduling, and support for Amazon, DTC, and distribution launches.

PRTBL is a hands-on partner for brands that want to bring high quality, thoughtfully designed hardware to market without building a full in-house hardware team.
