Chris Hare has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Chris began their career in 2009 as a Board Member for the North Carolina Technology Association, where they supported over 450 companies in the state. In 2010, they founded their own private consulting group called The nTete Group, providing innovation strategy and IP development services to global companies. Chris also partnered with other consultants worldwide to support connected devices.
From 2011 to 2015, Chris served as an advisor to the CEOs of Lantos Technologies and Open Gambit, both technology-focused companies. Chris provided expert guidance in revolutionizing the custom earpiece device market and offering open-source architected software solutions, respectively.
In 2012, Chris took on the role of Vice President and Head of Trade Relations at the Triangle BABCNC, a transatlantic business network. Chris played a crucial role in establishing a new chapter in the Triangle and Eastern NC region.
Chris's experience in the technology industry continued with their involvement as a Deal Architect - Technology Partnerships at UK Trade & Investment from 2013 to 2016. In this role, they supported the UKTI's mission to grow the UK economy by connecting US companies with UK capabilities.
In 2014, Chris became a partner at Thingovation, LLC, where they provided hands-on consulting services to companies developing devices for the Internet of Things. Chris helped clients in scoping, hardware and software development, and deployment of IoT projects.
Most recently, Chris has been working as an Independent Agent at Nonvoice, starting in August 2020. Prior to that, they held executive positions at PRTI Inc, serving as the Chief Operating Officer from 2017 to 2020, and currently as the Chief Executive Officer since March 2020.
Throughout their career, Chris has shown expertise in strategy development, market definition, and partnership building across industries such as wireless, medical, clean tech, smart grid, video architecture, and energy.
Chris Hare completed a Certificate in Industrial Management at The Cornwall College Group from 1988 to 1989. From 1988 to 1990, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management at Cornwall Business School. Later, in 2012 to 2013, they attended the Chartered Management Institute and obtained a Chartered Manager degree in Strategic Management and Innovation Development.
