Richard Schuler

Richard Schuler is an accomplished industrial design professional with extensive experience in commercial architectural lighting and product development. Currently serving as the Industrial Design Lead at Prudential Lighting since December 2008, Richard is responsible for the conceptual development and industrial design of lighting products. Prior roles include Product Design Manager and Lead Design Engineer at Prudential Lighting, where efforts focused on optimizing design and engineering processes for product innovation. Additionally, Richard has contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Santa Monica College, teaching courses on Product Design for Interaction Designers. Previous experience includes positions at Acuity Brands Lighting, Hubbell Lighting, and Whipsaw, alongside teaching roles at the Art Institute in various design disciplines. Richard holds a Master of Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
