Flo Damian

Flo Damian has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Starting in 1999, they worked as a GIS Analyst at the USDA Forest Service Pacific NW Research Station, where they developed custom JAVA programs for data analysis and surface modeling. Later, they worked at the University of Washington Rural Technology Initiative as a GIS Developer and Analyst, where they developed custom ARC 8.2 applications and supported spatial analysis procedures. In 2002, they joined NOAA as a GIS Developer/Analyst, focusing on developing web applications and automating tasks using ArcObjects. From 2005 to 2013, Flo Damian worked at Schlosser Geographic Systems Inc. as a Senior Software Developer, designing and implementing geo-spatially enabled applications for clients in various industries. They then joined F5 Networks in 2013 as a Principal Software Engineer, where they worked on distributed systems and mentored junior engineers. Most recently, Flo Damian worked at Pryon as a Senior Software Engineer, where they helped design and implement a cloud-native, micro-services driven knowledge management platform.

Flo Damian completed their Bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering at Universitatea Transilvania din Brașov from 1991 to 1996. They then pursued further education at the University of Washington, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Forest Engineering from 1998 to 2003.
