Timothy Stepp has a comprehensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Timothy started their career at Phoenix Contact USA in 2010 as a Test Engineer and later became a Software Engineer I. In 2014, they were promoted to the role of Embedded Software Engineer II. During their time at Phoenix Contact USA, Timothy gained experience in embedded software development.
In 2016, Timothy Stepp joined Precision Systems, Inc. as an Embedded Software Engineer. Timothy played a crucial role in the development of a cloud-based medical device, where they were responsible for quality assurance, document and code reviews, and Windows application testing. Timothy also took on the role of project lead and successfully managed a junior-level engineer. Timothy was the primary point of contact for clients and third-party developers, and they created requirements, design, and cloud communication protocols. Additionally, they successfully ported an existing code-base to a new micro despite encountering several compiler issues that required creative workarounds.
In 2018, Timothy Stepp was promoted to the position of Senior Software Engineer at Precision Systems, Inc. Timothy continued to contribute to the development of cloud-based consumer devices and served as a primary developer.
In 2020, Timothy Stepp was further promoted to the role of Director of Engineering, where they led a team of engineers and oversaw the overall engineering efforts within the company.
Most recently, in April 2022, Timothy Stepp was appointed as the VP of Software Engineering at Precision Systems, Inc.
Timothy Stepp completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from Elizabethtown College, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained certifications in Software Testing from ASTQB in October 2013 and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2019.
