Arief Naftali

Transportation-public Works Team Leader/principal/vice President at Psomas

Arief Naftali has over 20 years of experience in the engineering field. Arief began their career as an Assistant Project Manager at LIN Consulting, Inc. in 2001. Arief then moved on to AECOM, where they worked as a Senior Civil Engineer II from 2005 to 2009. After that, Naftali joined ADVANTEC Consulting Engineers as a Lead Civil Engineer, where they managed and designed various transportation and public works projects until 2013. Since 2013, they have been working at Psomas as a Transportation-Public Works Team Leader/Principal/Vice President. In this role, they are responsible for managing multi-scale transportation and public works projects, as well as building and cultivating an engineering team. Arief also conducts professional engineering consultancy and actively engages in business development and client service.

Arief Naftali completed their education in a chronological order. Arief first attended Mt. San Antonio College from 1996 to 1997 and received an Associates of Arts (AA) degree in Engineering Technology. Arief then enrolled at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 1997 to 2000 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSCE) degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in the General Option. Next, they attended Azusa Pacific University from 2000 to 2001 and earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Management. Lastly, from 2002 to 2004, Arief Naftali pursued a Master of Science (MSCE) degree in Transportation Engineering from California State University, Long Beach.

In addition to their formal education, Arief Naftali has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Arief became a Certified Civil Engineer in California in June 2003, a Licensed Traffic Engineer in California in June 2005, and an Electrical Engineer in California in September 2016. Arief also holds a Road Safety Professional Level 1 certification from the Institute of Transportation Engineers - US, obtained in December 2020. Furthermore, they recently obtained a certification as an Electrical Engineer from the State of Washington in July 2022 and as a Civil Engineer from the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration in May 2022.
