Karina MacIas

Karina Macias is an experienced urban planner and transportation policy expert with a strong background in program management and strategic planning. Currently serving as the Street Design Modernization Program Manager at Psomas, Karina previously held key roles including Senior Transportation & Infrastructure Deputy at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and Senior Associate Planner at Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates. Notably, during tenure at the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation, Karina directed the Code the Curb initiative and established the department's Racial Equity Program. Karina's experience encompasses collaborative urban mobility projects at the World Economic Forum and significant contributions to transportation policy under the office of Mayor Eric Garcetti. Educational qualifications include a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
