Civil Engineering Designer III at Psomas

Madeline Hoover, EIT, has a diverse work experience in civil engineering and environmental research. Madeline currently works as a Civil Engineering Designer III at Psomas since October 2022. Previously, they were a Design Engineer at KCI Technologies, Inc., where they focused on ecological restoration projects to enhance natural water systems. Madeline also served as an Engineer In Training at KCI Technologies, Inc. from September 2019 to January 2022. Madeline has interned at AECOM as a Water Resources Engineering Intern in 2018 and at NMP Engineering Consultants, Inc. as a Design Engineer Intern in 2017. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as part of the First-Year Innovation and Research Experience at the University of Maryland College Park, where they conducted research on environmental pathogens in the Chesapeake watershed using microbiology and genomics methods. Madeline also worked as a Camp Counselor at Martin's Tree Farm Activity Center from 2015 to 2016.

Madeline Hoover, EIT, completed their education history as follows. Madeline attended Hereford High School from 2011 to 2015, earning their High School Diploma. Subsequently, Madeline attended the University of Maryland from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Additionally, they studied at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 2017 to 2018, focusing on Civil & Environmental Engineering. Madeline has also acquired several additional certifications, including the Engineer In Training certification from the State of Maryland in May 2019. In October 2018, they obtained the LEED Green Associate certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Furthermore, Madeline obtained the Maryland Department of the Environment Erosion and Sediment Control Certification (Green Card) and the SHA Erosion and Sediment Control Certification (Yellow Card) from the State of Maryland and Maryland State Highway Administration, respectively, both in May 2017.
