Birgit Booij

Birgit Booij is a seasoned clinical psychologist and educator with extensive experience in the field of mental health. Currently operating as a clinical psychologist and manager at PsyQ since February 2021, Birgit Booij also supervises various psychological training programs and has held leadership roles, such as the chair of the PR committee for the Vereniging EMDR Nederland. Birgit Booij has a diverse background, having worked in both generalized and specialized mental healthcare settings, providing treatment for anxiety, depression, and trauma, among other issues. Earlier roles include co-producing films while assisting with child actors’ mental support and progressing through various psychological roles across institutions from 1997 onwards. Educational credentials include specialized training in clinical psychology, EMDR, and schema therapy, complemented by a degree in orthopedagogy from Utrecht University.
