George MacKerron

George MacKerron is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Sussex since August 2012, previously serving as a Lecturer in Economics. George has also been involved with the Centre for Economic Performance at LSE as an Associate since July 2024, and consulting for Neon since September 2022. As a co-founder of Psychological Technologies (PSYT Ltd) since 2013, George contributes to the field's advancement. Additionally, George holds an Associate position at Outsight International and has served as an Honorary Lecturer and Research Associate at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) at UCL from September 2011 to December 2018. George completed a PhD in Environmental Economics at LSE, after earning an MSc in Environmental Economics & Policy from Imperial College London and a BA in Archaeology & Anthropology from the University of Cambridge. Prior experience includes web development at Cambridge Assessment and the Whipple Museum of the History of Science.
