Chief Airframe Tech at PteroDynamics

Kelly Carter has a strong background in the aerospace industry, with experience in various roles over the years. Kelly is currently working as the Chief Airframe Tech at PteroDynamics Inc. since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Zee.Aero as the Lead Composite Airframe Technician from August 2011 to February 2019. Kelly also held the position of Lead Composite Technician at Makani Power from December 2010 to June 2011 and worked as the Lead Composite Tech at Joby Energy from August 2009 to December 2010.

Kelly Carter attended San Jose City College from 1991 to 1993, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in Geology/Earth Science. In 1982, they enrolled in the FAA Airframe and Powerplant Course at Northrop University Institute of Technology, completing the program in 1984. Prior to that, in 1981 to 1982, they pursued a Private Pilot Certification Course at Gunnell Aviation.
