Tim Whitehand

Vice President Of Engineering at PteroDynamics

Tim Whitehand has worked in the engineering field since 2005, starting with GKN Aerospace as a Structural Design Engineer. Tim then worked at Goodrich Aerostructures in 2008 in the same role. In 2010, they moved to Quickstep Technologies Pty Ltd as Lead Production Engineer. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at UTC Aerospace Systems as a Structural Design Engineer. Tim then joined Zee.Aero as a Senior Design Engineer in 2017 and moved to FlightHouse Engineering as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in 2018. In 2019, they joined L-SYS as a Member of the Board of Advisors and is currently working at PteroDynamics Inc. as Vice President of Engineering.

Tim Whitehand has a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Sydney, which they obtained between 2001 and 2005. Tim also obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance from the University of Sydney between 2000 and 2005. In addition, they have obtained certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration for Commercial Pilot (Rotorcraft-Helicopter), Private Pilot (ASEL), Small Unmanned Aircraft System (Part 107) Remote Pilot, and a USPA C License from the United States Parachute Association.
