Val Petrov

Val Petrov began their career in 1999 as Founding Partner and Chief Technology Officer at Ascent Capital Management. In 2000, they moved to Wellington Management, where they served as Managing Director. In 2021, they joined PteroDynamics Inc. as Chief Technology Officer.

Val Petrov began their educational journey in 1985 when they attended Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) where they earned a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics in 1990. Val then attended West Virginia University where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Physical Chemistry in 1995. Val Petrov concluded their education in 1996 when they attended The University of Texas at Austin where they earned a Post Doc in Nonlinear dynamics.
