Welcome to PTWineHouse, a distinguished beacon for exceptional wines and a trading name of Purpleglacier LDA. Our journey began when two Welsh brothers from Swansea ventured from the UK to Portugal in 2018, armed with a vision. Embracing the rich cultural and vinicultural heritage of their new home, they founded our company with the aim of sharing Portugal’s vinous treasures with the world. Despite the challenges, our founders’ perseverance since 2020 has propelled PTWineHouse to its current stature, supported by a dedicated team of 35 highly skilled staff from around the globe.

Portugal, with its ancient wine-growing tradition, stands as an undiscovered jewel within the global wine scene. Often underestimated, the country’s wine regions are ripe with potential, boasting approximately 4,700 wineries across 14 distinct areas. At PTWineHouse, we immerse ourselves in this diversity, handpicking wines that showcase the exceptional quality and unique character of Portuguese viniculture.

With an annual consumption of 600 million litres of wine, averaging 58 litres per person, Portugal’s enthusiasm for wine is unmistakable. PTWineHouse, now part of Purpleglacier’s broader vision, embodies this passion. We specialize in offering a curated selection of Portuguese wines, each reflecting the authentic essence of its origin.

Our commitment to quality, sustainability, and community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every bottle tells a story, and it is our privilege to connect you with these captivating narratives. Our diverse team of wine enthusiasts brings together expertise from various corners of the world, ensuring a selection that resonates with a global palate. Whether you’re seeking guidance or an educational oenological experience, our team is here to assist.
