Matthew Kozak

Senior Electrical Engineer at Puffco

Matthew Kozak has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Matthew worked at Puffco as both a Senior Electrical Engineer and an Electrical Engineer, contributing to the development of flagship products such as the Puffco Proxy, Peak, and Peak Pro Power Dock. Matthew also designed datalogging cycle test fixtures and implemented a component long lead-time component risk mitigation strategy. Matthew successfully launched the Puffco Proxy despite the global chip shortage.

Before joining Puffco, Matthew worked at Accuride International Inc. as an R&D Electrical Engineer, where they designed firmware, added hardware functionality to touchscreen programmers, and developed battery backup solutions. Matthew also mentored interns and taught them best design practices.

Additionally, Matthew gained research experience as a Computer Engineering Researcher at California State University, Fullerton. Their main project involved designing a prototype for a home automated system that could detect hazardous air conditions and initiate ventilation.

Overall, Matthew Kozak has demonstrated their expertise in electrical engineering through their contributions to product development, design optimization, risk mitigation, and mentoring.

Matthew Kozak began their education in 2012 at Santiago Canyon College, where they studied Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics. Matthew attended this college until 2014 but did not obtain a degree during this time. In 2014, Matthew transferred to the University of California, Berkeley, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Matthew completed their undergraduate studies in 2016.

Additionally, Matthew Kozak obtained an Amateur Radio License from the Federal Communications Commission in March 2016.
