Kathryn was Senior Lecturer in Media Performance and Course Leader in TV Production at the University of Bedfordshire in Luton, UK from 2006 - 2018. A BBC trained TV director with extensive TV directing experience in news, current affairs, children's, magazine and factual/entertainment programmes, Kathryn worked in mainstream broadcasting for over 25 years, mainly at BBC and ITV. 

Kathryn has authored two leading text books on TV presenting, So You Want to be a TV Presenter? covers basic presenting skills, published by Nick Hern Books in 2010. The TV Presenter's Career Handbook includes interviews with 80 presenters and producers, focussing on how to build your presenting career, published in 2014 by Focal Press.
