Kulsoom Ally

Kulsoom Ally is the Head of Partnerships at Pula. Kulsoom has over fifteen years of experience in the corporate sector, with a focus on operations and sustainability.

Ally began their career as a Project Coordinator at Ihmisoikeusliitto, a Finnish human rights organization. Kulsoom then spent three years as a Global Project Manager at Cision, a media intelligence company.

In 2008, Ally joined Nokia as a Senior Regional Manager for Sustainability in Latin America. During their six years at Nokia, they were responsible for sustainability strategy and reporting, stakeholder engagement, and climate change mitigation initiatives.

In 2014, Ally took a mid-career fellowship at Juhudi Kilimo, an agricultural finance organization in Kenya. As Technology Project Director, they oversaw the implementation of solar power systems for smallholder farmers.

Ally returned to the corporate world in 2015 as Head of Operations / Operations Consultant at M-KOPA Solar, a leading provider of off-grid solar solutions in East Africa. Kulsoom spent three years at M-KOPA before joining Pula in 2018.

Kulsoom Ally has a Master of Social Science (MSSc) in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Helsinki. Kulsoom also has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) cum laude in Kulsoom'story and Physics from Smith College. Kulsoom has an International Baccalaureate (IB) from Prince of Wales Scholarship at UWC Atlantic College.
