Brock Groth

Brock Groth has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on electropolishing and the development of NiTi components. Brock currently works as the Manager of Electropolishing at Heraeus Medical Components, a position they have held since November 2020. Prior to this, Brock held the same role at Pulse Systems, where they worked with numerous companies on medical device projects. Brock also installed NiTi electropolishing and shape setting operations at Pulse Systems. Before their time at Pulse Systems, Brock was a Consultant - NiTi Specialist at Sadra Medical, where they developed electropolishing processes and assisted with the development of NiTi valve frames. Converge Medical employed Brock as a Sr. Process Engineer, where they developed a validated electropolishing process for a NiTi coronary anastomotic device and designed a custom automated electropolishing station. At Johnson Matthey, they were the NiTi Tubing Production Manager. Brock started their career at Shape Memory Applications, where they held various positions as a NiTi Tubing Manufacturing Manager/Development Engineer, NiTi Specialty Wire Production Manager/Development Engineer, and NiTi Actuator Production Manager/Development Engineer. Throughout their career, Brock has demonstrated expertise in process development, equipment design, quality improvement, and ISO certification.

Brock Groth holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Engineering from Brown University, a degree they pursued from 1992 to 1994. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, where they studied from 1987 to 1992.
