Product Development Scientist at Puraffinity

Liberty Rockey has worked in various roles in the research and development sector since 2016. In 2016, they worked as a Research and Development Intern at PWNT, where they operated pilot scale processes and took and analyzed samples for a range of parameters. In 2018, they worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, assisting with writing macroscopic descriptions during specimen dissection, ensuring all specimens were stored correctly, and helping with the general day-to-day running of the laboratory. In 2019, they worked as a Graduate Scientist at Puraffinity, a start up that makes materials for wastewater treatment. Her role involved targeting particular micro pollutants, mainly PFAS. In 2020, they continued at Puraffinity as a Product Development Scientist.

Liberty Rockey has a comprehensive education history. They began their studies in 2014 at the University of Bath, where they earned a Master of Chemistry in Chemistry. In 2021, they began their doctoral studies at Imperial College London, where they completed an MRes in Advanced Molecular Synthesis and are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry.
