Bin Lu is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in firmware and software development. Currently serving as Firmware Engineering Manager at Pure Storage since December 2014, Bin Lu oversees the firmware development for the Direct Flash Module. Prior to this role, Bin Lu worked at BlackBerry from March 2008 to October 2013, managing platform firmware for the QXN and focusing on SOC hardware bring-up, device driver development, and software integration. Bin Lu's earlier experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at Nortel Networks from October 2000 to October 2006, where responsibility included developing software for 3G CDMA base stations. Bin Lu holds a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, obtained between 1999 and 2000.
