Sameer Dekate

Sameer Dekate is an accomplished software engineering professional with extensive experience in management and software development. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Pure Storage since October 2018, Sameer oversees two teams focused on Flash Blade Core Operating Systems and Flash Blade Kernel. Prior to this role, Sameer was the Senior Director of Reader Software at Zest Labs, Inc., where responsibilities included managing and architecting temperature monitoring software and leading the RFID reader software team. Sameer also held the position of Manager of Device Software at Plastic Logic, overseeing the device software team for a TI OMAP3 based eReader product, and served as Director of Software at Cavium Inc, where Sameer architected an H.264 system software stack from the ground up. Sameer holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
