Brett Hafer has over two decades of work experience in the manufacturing industry. Brett is currently serving as the Vice President of Manufacturing at PureCycle Technologies since January 2021.
Prior to this, Hafer worked at LyondellBasell from 1999 to 2021, where they held several roles of increasing responsibility. Some notable positions include their role as the Site Operations Manager at Houston Refining, responsible for overseeing refinery operations and training organizations. Brett also served as the Site Technical Manager at the Channelview Complex, where they oversaw the technical organization of LyondellBasell's largest North American chemical complex. Hafer also served as the Site Manager at Basell Benelux B.V., where they were responsible for the safe production and shipping of various polypropylene and polybutylene products.
Throughout their career, Hafer has managed large teams, including hourly workers and colleagues, and has overseen multiple areas within the organizations they worked for. Brett has also been involved in project evaluations, forecasting market outlooks, and supporting capital projects.

Brett Hafer obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (ChE) from The University of Texas at Austin between 1996 and 2001. Following that, they pursued further education and earned their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Business from the Texas McCombs School of Business during the years 2008 to 2010.
