Wayne Ward is a degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the design and engineering of powertrains, ranging from internal combustion engines to electric drive units. They served as a Design Engineer at Renault F1 Team during their championship-winning seasons and later worked on various high-profile projects, including KERS systems at Mercedes AMG and electric machines at Protean Electric. As a freelance technical writer, Wayne has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles on racing engine design and electrified powertrains.
