Drew Smith currently serves as the Vice President of Education Initiatives at Purpose Built Communities, a position held since 2024. They previously worked in various educational roles within the District of Columbia Public Schools from 2014 to 2016, including as an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal, focusing on instructional and literacy development for grades 1-5. Prior to that, Drew spent a decade coordinating programs for the Boys and Girls Clubs of East Aurora. Drew holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature and multiple degrees from American University, including a Master’s in Elementary Education.
