John Y. has extensive work experience in data and analytics roles within the financial services industry. John'smost recent position is as the VP of Data at Purpose Financial, where they are responsible for overseeing the organization's cloud environments, platform architectures, and data integration. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director, Global Head of Data Science & Insights at Barings, where they led a global team of data professionals to provide analytic insights for the business. John also held the position of Chief Data & Scientific Officer at C2FO, and Global Vice President, Advanced Engineering & Data Science at SS&C FINANCIAL SERVICES LIMITED. Earlier in their career, they held roles such as Vice President, Product Analytics at Audience AI Inc. and Global Vice President of Data Analytics & Applied Sciences at Giant Media.

John Y. obtained a Master of Science degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Northern Colorado in the year 2001. John then pursued a PhD in Applied Statistics from the same university, completing it in the year 2006.
