Purpose Works KC is a collaborative of leading nonprofit organizations in the Kansas City region united by a shared commitment to elevating the value and visibility of nonprofit careers.

Together, we are launching a bold, multi-year initiative designed to attract and retain top talent, reshape perceptions of nonprofit work, and build a dynamic, mission-driven workforce.

Our sector is a vital force in the Kansas City community—driving economic development, advancing social justice, improving public health and education, and enhancing community well-being. Yet too often, nonprofit careers are overlooked or misunderstood. Purpose Works KC aims to change that narrative.

By amplifying the collective impact of our member organizations and promoting the professional and societal rewards of nonprofit careers, we are working to ensure that the sector continues to thrive—and that those who choose to serve do so with pride, recognition, and opportunity.
