Derek Minter

Derek Minter has a strong background in recruiting, operations, and HR. Derek started their career at Google as a Technical Sourcer in 2012. In 2013, Derek worked as the Head of Talent Acquisition at Coderwall.com, where they developed relationships with a variety of companies, negotiated contracts, and matched candidates to the appropriate companies. In 2014, Derek co-founded Honeybadgr, a company focused on connecting top talent with early-stage and VC-funded startups in the Bitcoin and blockchain ecosystem. Derek held the position of Co-Founder & CEO and was responsible for accelerating the growth of the company. Most recently, Derek joined Purse in 2016, contributing to the company's operations and HR efforts.

Derek Minter obtained a B.A. degree in Managerial and Organizational Communication from Point Loma Nazarene University. Derek attended this university from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, in 2004 to 2005, they attended Olivet Nazarene University and pursued a degree in Managerial and Organizational Communication. While their field of study at Olivet Nazarene University is not specified, it can be assumed to be the same as their degree program. Derek Minter also holds two additional certifications - the DCC Certified Professional from the Digital Currency Council, obtained in March 2015, and the LinkedIn Certified Professional–Recruiter from LinkedIn, obtained in October 2013.
