David J. Reed

David has over 40 years of experience in the textile business, both with domestic and international customers prior to coming to PurThread. His textile career is broad and has been involved with natural and synthetic fibers and yarns. Throughout his career, David has been directly involved in textile plant/corporate engineering, textile product development, synthetic fiber technical service, and sales for domestic and global companies. The majority of his career has been with industry-leading companies: Celanese, Fiber Industries, and Wellman. Immediately prior to joining the PurThread team, David was Sales and Technical Service Manager with David Poole Co.

David has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He has presented papers on the textile industry to the Synthetic Yarn and Fiber Association, Industrial Fabrics Association International, TexTechtil, and Southern Textile Association.
