Mr. Bodman is an entrepreneurial businessman and investor and currently serves as Managing General Partner of VMS Group, which performs administrative & advisory services for venture capital funds, and General Manager of Bodman Oil & Gas, LLC.
Mr. Bodman served as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior, and subsequently as Assistant Director of the Office of Management and Budget in The White House. After government service, he joined DuPont and served in several management positions in Textile Fibers and Corporate Finance. He then joined the Communications Satellite Corporation as CFO and subsequently served as President & CEO of COMSAT General Corporation and President of Satellite Television Corporation. He later joined AT&T as Senior VP for Strategy & Development where he co-founded AT&T Ventures, and in 1996 he simultaneously acquired AT&T Ventures and became its Co-Managing Partner, retiring from AT&T.
Mr. Bodman currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Telecom Development Fund. Earlier board service includes Reed Elsevier, Young & Rubicam, Internet Security Systems, Lin Broadcasting, Tyco International, National Housing Partnerships, Sandia National Laboratories, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Morristown Hospital System, and Naples Community Healthcare System. He received a B.S. in Engineering from Princeton University and an M.S. in Industrial Management from M.I.T. He was a CPA and Partner at Touche Ross & Co.
