Timothy L. Krist

Tim has over 24 years of finance and accounting experience in public accounting and companies across multiple industries including manufacturing, software and technology, residential real estate and construction, multi-unit retail, telecommunications, and entrepreneurial ventures. He has worked in both public and private companies ranging from start-up to multi-national.

Most recently, Tim served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Charles & Colvard, Ltd., a publicly-traded gemstone and jewelry manufacturer, where during his tenure sales increased 170% and the company became profitable for the first time since 2007. Previously, Tim served as Chief Financial Officer of Smart Online, Inc., a publicly-traded company that develops and markets software products and services targeted to small businesses that are delivered via a Software-as-a-Service model; and Director of Finance of KB Home, a national homebuilder.

Tim started his career with the Cleveland office of Deloitte & Touche. He received his Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Miami University (Ohio) and his MBA from Arizona State University. In 2010, Tim was awarded the CFO of the Year Award for a Small Public Company by the Triangle Business Journal.
