David Pick

David Pick is a Vessel Manager and New-build Vessel Master for Purus, responsible for overseeing the build process, sea trialling, acceptance, delivery, and commissioning of new hybrid crew transfer vessels (CTVs). Currently, they ensure operational support for crews to maintain safe and productive vessels. With 11 years of experience as a freelance CTV master, David has operated on 32 offshore wind farms across various European waters and has specialized knowledge of multiple propulsion systems. They also have a background as an independent lifeboat coxswain and Community First Responder, demonstrating a commitment to safety and emergency response. David continues their education at Lowestoft Maritime College and Glasgow Maritime Academy.
