Ali Jamil

Born in Siabu on August 30, 1965, he holds a Bachelor of Soil Science, from the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of North Sumatra. Obtained a Master of Agriculture degree at the University of North Sumatra in 1995 and continued with a Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) at the University of the Philippines at Los Banos (UPLB) Philippines in 2006. Started his career in North Sumatra as Head of the Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP ) North Sumatra (2012-2013) to occupy the position of Head of the Center for Research and Development of Food Crops (2014-2016).

Then served as Director of Annual Crops and Refreshers (2016-2017). Continued as Director of Cereals (2017-2018) and served as Director of Various Nuts and Tubers (2018-2019). Served as Head of the Agricultural Quarantine Agency (2019-2021). The year 2021 until now served as Director-General of Infrastructure and Agricultural Facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia. Then counted since December 28, 2021 carrying Amanah as Commissioner of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang.
