Guy Atherton

Guy Atherton has a diverse work history in the renewable energy industry. Guy is currently working at PVcase as Head of Engineering and Product Manager for Ground Mount. In this role, they oversee the development of the Ground Mount product and collaborates with suppliers to integrate the latest PV technology. Prior to PVcase, Guy worked at BayWa r.e. Power Solutions GmbH as Head of Engineering, where they led a team of electrical engineers in designing and certifying renewable energy projects. Guy also played a crucial role in developing ground mount, carport, and monitoring solutions. Before that, Guy worked at BAYWA R.E. SOLAR PROJECTS GMBH as a Project Development Engineer, responsible for evaluating and designing new projects and conducting technical due diligence. Guy also worked as a Design Manager at solarcentury, leading a team of Design Engineers in the specification, design, and installation of photovoltaic, solar thermal, and wind turbine systems. Early in their career, Guy worked as a Freelance Consultant and a Bar Supervisor. Guy also gained experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Air Fiordland and as an Officer Cadet (Aerospace Engineer) in the Royal Australian Air Force.

Guy Atherton attended Toowoomba Grammar School from 1992 to 1996, but did not obtain a degree or pursue a specific field of study during this time. From 1998 to 2002, they attended the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where they earned an Honours degree in Aerospace Engineering. As of April 2023, they had also obtained a certification in "Mastering Product Management" from Reforge.
