John Tough

John Tough is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Energize Capital, overseeing investments, strategy, and execution since February 2017. As a member of the Investment and Management Committees, John is actively involved in Energize Ventures and Energize Growth. In addition to this role, John serves on the board of several companies, including PVcase, Sitetracker, DroneDeploy, Nozomi Networks, Matroid, Inc., and Volta Charging, as well as acting as a board observer for ZEDEDA Inc. John participated in a significant $100M Series B investment in PVcase. Previous board involvement includes Smartcar and a venture investor position with SparkCognition. Academic credentials include an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS from Duke University.
