Mark Prater

Mark Prater is the Managing Director of Tax Policy Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a position they have held since 2018. Previously, Prater served as Tax Counsel, Deputy Staff Director, and Chief Tax Counsel for the Senate Finance Committee from 1990 to 1993. They have also worked as an Associate Attorney at Dunn Carney LLP from 1987 to 1990 and as a Tax Consultant at Touche Ross & Co. from 1984 to 1986. In 2011, Prater was the Staff Director for the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction. They earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, a J.D. from Willamette University, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Portland State University.
