Robert Olson has extensive experience in customs and trade compliance, having held various leadership roles across several prominent firms. Starting as Brokerage Lead at Nippon Express from 1996 to 1999, Robert continued to develop expertise in the field at Nissan North America as Manager of Customs & Trade Compliance from 2006 to 2008. Robert's career includes significant positions at Deloitte Tax, LLP, where serving as Senior Manager from September 2011 to February 2018 followed a role as Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers from January 2001 to March 2006, eventually becoming Director and Japan Practice Leader. Robert further enhanced professional credentials as Senior Manager at Deloitte Hong Kong from February 2018 to April 2019. Since July 2023, Robert has been a Partner and Japan Practice Leader in Worldtrade Management Services at PwC. Other notable experience includes serving as Customs Compliance Manager at Daewoo Motor America from 2000 to 2001.
