Lorenz Meier

Founder at PX4 Autopilot

Lorenz Meier has had a diverse work experience. Lorenz is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Auterion, a company that brings open source robotics to governments and the enterprise. Prior to this, they founded the ETH Pixhawk project and open-sourced it under the PX4 software brand. Lorenz has also worked as a Pioneer Fellow and PhD Student at ETH Zürich, where they focused on research projects related to drones, mobile phones, and obstacle mapping. Additionally, they have had a research internship at ETH Zürich.

Lorenz Meier completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

From 2004 to 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Information Engineering, from the University of Konstanz.

Then, from 2008 to 2011, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in MSc ETH Computer Science / Visual Computing at ETH Zürich.

Lastly, from 2011 to 2016, they attained a Doctor of Sciences of ETH Zürich (PhD) degree in Visual Computing, again at ETH Zürich.
