Dr. William Howden

Dr. William Howden has extensive experience in the technology industry. In 1979, they began their career as an Engineer/Program Manager at Hughes Network Systems, where they held a TS/SCI clearance and was responsible for successful delivery and acceptance of a large-scale system production contract. In 1987, they joined VIAVI Solutions as Vice President & GM, Global Services and Vice President, Solutions Engineering. Here, they established and led a new Strategic Business Unit and served in Executive Consulting roles to C-Level clients. In 2007, they became Corporate VP at NSCA Technology, and in 2009 they became Global Senior Director - Services BU at EXFO, holding P&L ownership and leading a Global BU with direct operations in North America, Asia, and Europe. In 2012, they founded Howden Consulting, LLC, where they work with Executive teams to transform business operations and create tactical improvement, competitive advantage, and financial gain. Currently, they are the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Pycube, Inc., where they specialize in Digital Transformation, Process Automation, and the use of RFID/IoT sensor data to create Business Intelligence.

Dr. William Howden began their educational journey in 1975 at Penn State University, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. Dr. William then attended Pittsburgh Technical College from 1977 to 1979, obtaining an Associate of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Dr. William continued their studies at Capitol Technology University from 1980 to 1987, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. In 1988, they completed a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Technical Management at The Johns Hopkins University. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Business Intelligence & Data Analytics from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2021. Additionally, they hold a CompTIA Project Plus certification obtained in 2017, and a 1st Class RadioTelephone Commercial (Engineering) License from the Federal Communications Commission obtained in 1979.
