Ian MacDonald

Ian Macdonald has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Starting in 1995, they worked as the VP Product Marketing at Gentia Software plc until 1998. Ian then joined Hyperion Solutions as the Director of EMEA Product Marketing from 1998 to 2000. Following this, Macdonald worked at Norkom Technologies as the VP Marketing from 2000 to 2001. Ian then became a HiTech Marketing Consultant at Own, focusing on ProClarity and RunServiceNet, from 2001 to 2004. Macdonald worked as a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Hewlett Packard from 2004 to 2006. Ian then took on the role of Western Europe BI Business Lead at Microsoft from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Principal at PushBI EMEA Limited. In 2010, Macdonald briefly served as the UK Partner Manager at Tagetik. In 2011, they joined Content and Code as the BI Practice Lead. Additionally, in 2011, Macdonald began their tenure at Pyramid Analytics, initially serving as the Principal Technologist. Ian later held positions as the Director of Product Management and currently works as the Senior Director of Product.

Ian Macdonald attended Bristol Cathedral School from 1970 to 1976. Ian then studied Geology & Geophysics at the University of London from 1981 to 1984, earning a II:II degree.
