Pyrophobic delivers engineered passive fire protection materials that help clients meet demanding fire safety requirements, backed by more than 35 years of proven performance.

We partner with OEMs to solve complex fire safety challenges with materials and components designed for real-world performance, regulatory confidence, and scalable manufacturing. Our proprietary and patented technologies help customers improve fire resistance, contain thermal runaway, reduce propagation risk, mitigate electrical fire hazards, and integrate high-performance passive fire protection into demanding applications across energy storage, electric vehicles, building construction, fire-rated door cores, lighting, and electrified deck systems.

Our product portfolio includes:

LithiumPrevent:
Exclusive patented intumescent thermoplastic polymer that expands with heat, preventing and containing thermal runaways in lithium-ion batteries at the cell
and module levels.

SafePassage:
UL-certified fire-resistant thermoplastic pucks ideal for construction applications that require a protective flame barrier.

tempRCORE:
A patented and NRTL-listed composite temperature rise door core for use with steel fire doors.

For OEMs, that means a partner who can help engineer materials to exact specifications, support compliance with demanding standards such as UL 9540A, ASTM E119, UL 10C, and UL 1784, and enable production through injection molding, extrusion, and other scalable processes.

Beyond products, Pyrophobic shares technical knowledge and industry insights through its Blog, Brochures, Data Sheets, FAQs, Podcasts, Videos, and Tests & Certifications resources.

If you’re designing for demanding fire safety performance and need a trusted OEM partner in passive fire protection, contact Pyrophobic to discuss your application and find the right engineered solution.
