Alain Simard

Alain Simard has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 1987, they started as a Project/Service engineer at Bomem Inc. Alain then moved on to ABB Bomem in 1995, where they held the positions of R&D Manager and Directeur of Section Instruments Metallurgiques. In 2003, Alain joined Alcoa as the Section Head of the Process Engineering Section in the Casting Technology Division. Alain later worked at the National Research Council as a Business Development and Communication Officer from 2005 to 2012. Alain also served as the Directeur du Marketing at STAS Inc. for a brief period in 2012. Lastly, they worked as a Senior Consultant at an Independent Consultant role from 2012 to 2014. Currently, Alain is the Director of R&D at Pyrotek.

Alain Simard, Eng., M.Sc., PMP, completed their B.Sc.A. in Physics Engineering from Université Laval in 1987. Alain further pursued their education and received their M.Sc in Project Management from Université du Québec - Ecole nationale d'Administration publique between 1991 and 1995. In 2014, Alain obtained the Project Manager Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
