Peter Lautensack

Peter Lautensack has over 30 years of experience in various engineering and management roles. Peter started their career as a Project Engineer at BP and later worked as an Adjunct Professor of Management at SUNY OSWEGO. Peter then joined Carrier Corporation as an Engineering Manager, leading a team in developing new products for the HVACR industry. After that, they worked at Lockheed Martin as a Staff Hardware Engineer, where they implemented a DFSS strategy and qualified new products for compliance. Peter also served as the Fan Club President for the Syracuse Salty Dogs and as the Girls Soccer Coordinator for Section III, where they successfully increased revenue and organized tournaments. Peter later joined Cummins, Inc as the Engineering Resources Director and implemented lean manufacturing and DFSS tactics to improve engineering methods and productivity. Finally, they worked at DRS Defense Solutions, LLC as the Engineering Manager and was responsible for managing a team and overseeing engineering processes. Currently, Peter is serving as the Chief Engineer at Pyrotek.

Peter Lautensack, P.E., MBA received their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University. Peter then went on to pursue their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategic Planning and Innovation Marketing at Syracuse University from 1987 to 1989.
