Joe Banks

Joe Banks is a Junior Software Engineer at the BBC, specializing in Python, Elixir, and Rust, with a strong foundation in frontend technologies. They co-founded Python Discord, a vibrant community that supports newcomers to the Python programming language, where they have honed their leadership skills while managing a global team. Joe previously held roles as Station Manager and Technical Director at Nottingham Students’ Television and served as Head of Technology and Digital at University Radio Nottingham. They earned a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham and have a robust academic background in Computer Science, History, and Maths from Malton School Sixth Form.
