Kaustav Mukherjee is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science. Currently serving as a Senior Vice President at Citi, Kaustav leads research and engineering excellence in multimodal, GenAI, NLP, and conversational AI, focusing on developing cloud-based AI products that enhance business processes for better ROI. In addition to work at Citi, Kaustav engages in various roles such as a Citizen Scientist at SciStarter, contributing to remote sensing data analysis, and a contributor to the Kubeflow and Apache Software foundations. Previous roles include Principal Applied Data Scientist at UnitedHealth Group, where Kaustav notably improved healthcare insurance claim processing through AI automation, and a Computer Vision and Applied-AI Architect at Huawei Technologies India, specializing in advanced image processing techniques. Kaustav holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from West Bengal University of Technology.
