Aaron Barbosa

Aaron Barbosa is a Senior Scientist and Quantum Control Engineer at Q-CTRL, where responsibilities include implementing machine learning and compilation techniques that enhance the performance of superconducting quantum devices, achieving improvements up to 1000 times across various quantum algorithms. Previously, as a Graduate Quantum Control Engineer at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Barbosa developed machine learning solutions for the D-Wave 2000Q quantum computer, resulting in a speedup of approximately 50%. Additional experience includes programming a quadruped robot for autonomous surveying at The University of Texas at Dallas and developing a reinforcement learning model to expedite the Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm at the University of Colorado Boulder.
