Aaron Canciani

Principal Engineer

Aaron Canciani is a highly experienced engineering professional with a robust background in navigation and electrical engineering. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Q-CTRL since October 2025, Canciani previously held the role of Principal Navigation Engineer at Leidos from September 2022 to October 2025, where responsibilities included original research and project management. From September 2016 to October 2023, Canciani was an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology, focusing on GPS-denied navigation techniques and Artificial Intelligence for Navigation. Earlier experience includes a position as Navigation Engineer/Electrical Engineer at the Air Force Sensors Directorate from March 2012 to September 2016. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the United States Air Force Academy.
