Quantum Software Engineer

Rebecca Nishide is a quantum software engineer at Q-CTRL, where they focus on the control aspects of the quantum software stack. After transitioning from a year of device testing experience, Rebecca has contributed significantly to low-level control software development for quantum device testing at HRL Laboratories, LLC. They held various roles in academia, including a Learning Assistant and Student Research Assistant at UCSB, where they developed software for muon and photon detection. Rebecca also served as an Undergraduate Researcher at UCSB’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, isolating organic components from walnut hulls for potential chemical synthesis. They earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
