Tadas Pyragius is a Staff Scientist at Q-CTRL since September 2024, with a previous role as a Plasma Diagnostician at Tokamak Energy from August 2021 to September 2024. Prior to that, Tadas served as a Research Associate in Quantum Technologies at the University of Nottingham from January 2020 to July 2021, and as an ICURe Entrepreneurial Lead/Researcher at Innovate UK for a brief period in 2019. Tadas began academic pursuits at Universität Innsbruck as a Research Assistant from September 2014 to September 2015. Tadas earned a PhD in Atomic Physics, focusing on Optically Pumped Magnetometers, from the University of Nottingham (2015-2019) and holds an MSc in Physics from the same institution (2010-2014). Formal education began at Ashlyns School in Berkhamsted, where A-levels were completed between 2005 and 2010.
