Eric Dobbertin

Eric Dobbertin has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Their most recent position is as a Principal Software Engineer at QA Wolf since November 2021. Prior to this, Eric worked at Dairy State Designs, LLC as the owner and web developer, where they handled general business administration along with design, development, deployment, and maintenance of websites and applications. Eric was also involved in frontend and backend development using JavaScript, NodeJS, Meteor, Go, Ruby, Blaze, React, CSS, and more.

Eric then joined Reaction Commerce as a Senior Software Engineer in October 2017. In this role, they played a crucial role in the migration from Meteor to headless GraphQL microservices on the backend and Blaze to React on the frontend. Eric also provided community support and developer advocacy.

From May 2015 to June 2017, Eric worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Dispatch.

Prior to their software engineering roles, Eric gained experience as a business owner at Rock Island Cafe LLC from October 2008 to October 2011. Here, they managed all aspects of the coffee shop business, including marketing, finance, purchasing, human resources, and maintenance.

Eric's earlier work experience includes working at Epic as a Technical Writer from October 2004 to June 2010. In this role, they wrote and edited user and administrator manuals, developed XML-based content management and publication systems, and created tools for modifying and publishing documents on a large scale.

Eric Dobbertin attended Preble High School from 1996 to 2000. From 2000 to 2004, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management at St. Norbert College.
