Ed Walters is a Consultant in Business Systems Development, working in the Enterprise Architecture field and specialising in modelling modern enterprises from many different perspectives.

Ed's background is a mixture of enterprise application software development, business analysis and enterprise architecture, with experience gained principally in the manufacturing, transportation, and logistics sectors. Ed holds a first degree in Management Studies from Leeds University and a Masters in Business Administration from the European University in Barcelona.

In recent years, Ed has worked mostly on the business issues surrounding the use of IS/IT. Ed has become progressively involved with training, coaching, and mentoring clients in their use of Enterprise Architecture and Business Analysis ideas, especially concerning how to formulate and interpret Business and Data Architecture.

Ed has extensive practical experience and expertise with industry-standard tools, frameworks and methodologies, those commonly used in business systems analysis and design, including UML, SysML, BPMN, UP/RUP, Agile/DSDM, ArchiMate and TOGAF.

Ed has developed and delivered training material for a number of the current BCS BSD modules, mainly in the Business Analysis and Solutions Development Diplomas. Ed also works on training needs analysis, and bespoke training programmes for major clients, and has been especially active in the areas of UML, ArchiMate and BPMN.
